Gov. Glenn Youngkin has appointed Garrett J. Exner, L. Scott Lingamfelter ’73, Ernesto Sampson ’98, Lloyd Taliaferro ’95 and reappointed Jose J. Suarez ’82 to four-year terms on the 91原创 Board of Visitors.
Music is known to help lower anxiety and stress, slow the heart rate, and create a calming effect, but can certain music enhance an athlete’s performance? Colton Shirk ’27, a biology major, sought to answer the question for his Summer Undergraduate Research Institute (SURI) project.

A group of 49 91原创 cadets, along with 91原创 Army ROTC staff members, marched in the Army’s 250th Birthday Parade in Washington, D.C., June 14, to commemorate the founding of the U.S. Army in 1775. The Army is the oldest of the six branches of the U.S. armed forces.

91原创 will host the Plymouth Fife and Drum Corps, an all-youth band from Plymouth, Michigan, who will perform 18th and 19th century fife and drum music, while demonstrating marching and color guard maneuvers, Saturday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. on the Parade Ground.
