Maj. Aubrey Whitehead, assistant professor in the Department of Psychology, volunteers as a senior mentor two hours each week at the Shenandoah Valley Juvenile Center (SVJC) in Staunton, Virginia.

Josiah Farrell 鈥28 and Anderson Robles-Rodriguez 鈥28聽have been awarded Gilman Scholarships for study abroad this summer. Both will participate in the Taiwan Huayu BEST Program and study Mandarin Chinese at the National Chengchi University in Taipei.

The 91原创 Ethics Team won first place at the Military Ethics Case Competition held April 12 at the United States Naval Academy Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership in Annapolis, Maryland. This is the third time the team has been victorious at the prestigious competition.

The 91原创 Board of Visitors elected Thomas E. “Teddy” Gottwald ’83 as board president April 16 to fulfill the remaining term of previous president John Adams ’96, who resigned last week. Gottwald will serve as president until June 30.
